National Change of Address Check (NCOA)

Move Update service
Address check against the USPS National Change of Address (NCOA) database to ensure recipient's most recent address - Every year the USPS handles over 40 million address-change requests for individuals and businesses. MACH3 verifies that your addresses are up to date.

MACH3 address cleansing functions:

  • All loans that have a Property address but no Mailing address are picked up and their Property addresses CASS certified. Where CASS certification is possible, a Mailing address is created and the loan updated. Normally newly imported Prospects, Applicants and Borrowers.

  • All Mailing addresses that were CASS certified >60 days ago, are picked up and CASS certified again. Where CASS verification is possible and the new address differs from the old, the Mailing address is updated. This keeps the existing addresses up-to-date with the USPS's rules and regulations over naming of streets, etc.

  • All Mailing addresses that either have never been NCOA checked or were NCOA checked >30 days ago, and are currently active on a program, are picked up and NCOA checked. If a new address is provided and it differs from what we have then the Mailing address is updated. This tracks move address notifications for those addresses actively involved in "Automated program" output.

  • All Mailing addresses that either have never been NCOA checked or were NCOA checked >30 days' ago, and are part of a confirmed Custom Campaign order but are not marked as "production complete" (i.e. paid for and waiting to be produced), are picked up and NCOA checked. If a new address is provided and it differs from the database entry, then the Mailing address is updated. As above, but for recipients of a mail Custom Campaign order.
