When LOs are selected, the calendar is instantly tasked with the following:

  1. Set the default data scope of the calendars. This is normally last month, this month and next month; with today selected. The three-month date window, selected LOs, Event Types and the Contact Types selection will all factor into the data scope used by the following.
  2. Get dates and details of any public holidays that occur in the three month window.
  3. Get dates and details of any contact birthdays within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Birthday Event Type checkbox.
  4. Get dates and details of any loan closing anniversaries within this three month window. Can be toggled using the Anniversary Event Type checkbox.
  5. Gets dates and details of any Automated Program output scheduled within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Automated Programs Event Type checkbox.
  6. Gets dates and details of any Custom Campaigns output scheduled within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Custom Campaigns Event Type checkbox.
  7. Gets dates and details of any Notes within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Notes Event Type checkbox.
  8. Gets dates and details of any scheduled/received phone calls within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Phone Event Type checkbox.
  9. Gets dates and details of any scheduled/received emails within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Email Event Type checkbox.
  10. Gets dates and details of any scheduled/received printed mail within the three month window. Can be toggled using the Mail Event Type checkbox.
  11. Derive the selected date range across the three month window. Use this date range, the selected LOs, the selected Event Types and the selected Contact Types, then generate a calendar including each selected date and which of items 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 above have occurred on those selected dates.
  12. The number of events that occur today is presented on the tab (e.g. "Calendar (9)") regardless of what the system is currently displaying. This represents the total number of events for the selected date(s).

Notice that the days in the three calendar controls are color-coded. Items are presented on the calendar controls in a very particular way. This table is in reverse importance order. For example, Automated Program output is more important than a Public Holiday. Most important is a Custom Campaign event, since the user is likely to want to follow-up. Campaigns are closely followed by anniversaries - a good time to review a mortgage - followed by birthdays - a good time to catch up, and so on.

Multiple dates on all three calendars can be selected independently of one another.

Or perhaps the user wants to see the entire three months?

What's happening this time, next year? Set the month/year using the Date Options and click "[ go ]".

Automated Program and Custom Campaign events are displayed with a "sample" button so that a PDF of the piece can be downloaded and viewed.

Important note: When using the "[ << back 3 months ]" and "[ next 3 months >> ]" buttons, the visible dates on the three calendars will change; however, the selected date will stay the same. This means that while the user might be moving forward and backwards through time using these buttons, the visible details of what happened will remain the same until a new date, or selection of dates, is made. This is entirely intentional in order to reduce the loading on the server. Essentially, only the selected dates matter and not the date window the three calendars are displaying.
